Northwestern Province is fast becoming Zambia’s new logistics hub — strategically positioned to connect central Africa to global markets through the Lobito Corridor, which links Zambia to Angola’s Atlantic ports. The province’s expanding mining, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors are driving demand for efficient transport networks, warehousing, freight services, and cross-border logistics solutions. The Transport & Logistics initiative, coordinated by the Northwestern Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NWCCI), promotes investment in infrastructure and logistics systems that enhance trade efficiency and regional integration. By partnering with local councils, customs authorities, and logistics providers, the Chamber ensures investors have the support needed to build a reliable, connected transport ecosystem.

Road & Freight Transport

Investment opportunities exist in heavy trucking, bulk cargo, and specialized freight services supporting mining, agriculture, and construction sectors. Reliable haulage services are essential for moving goods across districts and to export routes through Angola and the DRC.

Warehousing & Distribution Centers

With the growth of industrial and commercial activity, investors can develop modern storage facilities, cold chain systems, and logistics parks in key districts like Solwezi, Kalumbila, and Mwinilunga. These facilities will support regional trade and supply-chain efficiency.

Rail Connectivity — The Lobito Corridor
